Alan Grimm
Founder/President
Founded in 1965, Alan has led Grimm Real Estate & Ins Inc and Grimm Company to becoming one of the leaders in our community. Alan says he's retired but don't believe him, he works many, many hours and keeps us all on the right track.
Scott Grimm
Vice President/Broker
Scott started with Grimm Real Estate in 1998 as a Real Estate/Insurance Agent, he's a 3rd generation in this family business. He has an Ag Business degree and has been a Certified Appraiser for over 13 years- specializing in Farm Appraisals. Scott was born and raised on a farm in Iowa County and is still actively involved in the farming operation.
Ken Trimpe
Sales Associate/Appraiser
Ken has been with our company for over 14 years. He has been in real estate sales since 1996 and a Certified General Property Appraiser since 2000. Prior to this business Ken operated a livestock and grain farm and served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller.
Mary Beth Knipfer
Broker Associate/Associate Residential Appraiser
Mary Beth has been working with Grimm Company since 2012. She is part of the Real Estate Team as a Broker Associate and the Office Manager as well as being an Associate Residential Appraiser. As a life long resident of the North English area and a previous business owner, Mary Beth knows the area and the people in the community. She believes we are fortunate to have so many opportunities nearby- like Tanger Mall in Williamsburg, the University of Iowa Hospital & College in Iowa City along with other great businesses and medical facilities. Mary Beth will work hard to help you sell your property or find the property of your dreams- whether it's a home, farm or business.
Cassie O'Rourke
Cassie lives with her husband and four children in North English where they operate a family farm business. She brings to our team 10+ years of real estate knowledge. Cassie is dedicated, driven, diligent, and is looking forward to helping you.
About Us
50 plus Years and Counting
Alan Grimm and his dad Raymond opened Grimm Real Estate & Ins. Inc. in 1965. At start-up, they were in the business of selling insurance and conducting Real Estate sales, appraisals, and farm management. In the past 20 years we have also added managing residential housing, most of which are non-profit USDA financed apartments. We continue these services today along with Grimm Company Real Estate.
